Motley Crue Remember Their Beginnings

This is a very awesome Facebook post from Motley Crue. A little look into the history of how the band got together. Great picture too! I love posts like this - it's like getting an extra piece of The Dirt.

I can't wait for the negative comments to start. The most hated band ever to grace the concert stage. Got my popcorn ready!

First shot fired for the inevitable "reunion tour" and possibly new music when the movie comes out. There will be too much money on the table.

Most likely to get people hyped for The Dirt movie, which im actually pretty excited for.
Jeff makes a good point, there would be a ton of money on the table for a reunion tour and it would be pretty predictable if that did happen.
Even though I'd like to hear new Crue music I don't think the demand is high enough for that. Mick is working on solo stuff, Vince is doing the Motley hits, Tommy is a knockoff Vanilla Ice, and Nikki is just Nikki. That being said, id be first to buy tickets to a reunion tour and the first to buy a new album.

Um, no, Metalboy!...I was.

@fletch. I'd be willing to bet a "sack of happiness" that Ace probably was. Lol. (And very well may have a few pics from it) 👍 Unfortunately we grew up at the right time, but on the wrong coast. 😂😂

Actually, I bet Metalboy! was there point blank, with two hot blondes grinding up on him and making out in front of his face. Ha Ha. I know, I'm just jealous.

Haha!! I wish Rita! Especially if it was you, haha!!🤘😘🤘

Actually, Gary is correct! Ace Steele was at The Starwood Show. In fact, I believe the black and white Photo is a still from the video he shot of the entire gig.

One cool detail ... They played a completely KILLER cover of The Raspberries’ “Tonight” at the gig. I think this is include on one of the Volumes of “Music To Crash Cars By” and as a bonus track on one of the album reissues.

p.s. Very funny, DJ ... I’m right behind you!

To have been a fly on those walls!

Ace, we want your book . . . NOW!

And I second or third a bunch of you. I only wish hot tubs were time machines!

More on “Tonight”, their superbly “Metalized” Raspberries cover ... The studio version is a bonus track on the year 2000 re-release of 1981’s “Too Fast For Love” and one of the volumes of the two-part release of the “Music To Crash Your Car To” Anthology.

Ace’s video of The Starwood Show including “Tonight”, the first known video of the band and more so, of their very first real gig, was up on YouTube for VERY short while and was suddenly taken down only to be replaced by the entire gig WITHOUT “Tonight”, which I’m going to assume may have something to do with copyright infringement or the like, unfortunately. And even more unfortunately, because it’s such a KILLER clip!

What a Blessing from The Metal Godz that Sce got to witness it all AND capture it all on video!

p.s. They should really do a cool box set of DVD’s a la Zeppelin’s “DVD” featuring this show plus the US Festival and any other Pro-Shot stuff they may have (c’mon, Nikki, cough it up! You know you got the sh*t!!!) laying around in their vaults.
