Motley Crue's Super Bowl 'Moment'

All those teases were for this I guess: a tiny clip of "Kickstart My Heart" inside a Planters nut ad. Motley Crue got paid at least. Probably the best moment of the entire Super Bowl last night. What a dud of a game and halftime show.

Wow! Did this wind up being one big snore. Unlike the great KIA Super Bowl ad a few years back when Crüe’s “Kickstart My Heart” was upfront and center in the mix, this spot had the song barely audible. That, plus a goofball storyline spells disaster! Terrible!

. . . I posted a link to this commercial days before it went live on the SB. So it was old before you knew it.

But I liked the ad. I actually enjoyed it more than the KIA ad because it was funny. Said as much in my original post.

Not gloating. Just saying. The SB? Didn't care. But I did notice that Knight ripped it up to start. Good for her. Great singer. Class act. Nice way to start a show. Too bad the rest didn't live up to it.
