'Living In A Ghost Town' -- Rolling Stones

A few days ago I pondered if we would get new Rolling Stones music during this lockdown... and here we are! The band has released a new track called "Living In A Ghost Town." The song was actually recorded before the global lockdown but then reworked a little during isolation. The Rolling Stones have been working on new music and decided to go ahead and release this track because, well, just read the title. What do you think?

Looking forward to the possibility of some new straight ahead classic style Stones rockers if they still got it in ‘em.
I've actually been on a Nirvana kick for no apparent reason too Gogmagog. Especially the MTV Unplugged.
Gogmagog and Dj, what did you think of what Puddle of Mudd did? Or Post Malone? Curious to hear your thoughts.
I never really got into Nirvana. But I recognize why they are important. Seems some varied bands/artists are leaning on them right now.
Check out “Ghost Town” by The Specials and then “Living in a Ghost Town” by The Stones.
Look, I appreciate them becoming productive while in lockdown, but why not lockdown some original riffs and come up with some killer Rock & Roll tunes?
Their whole Reggae trip has become a bit shop worn at this point, as it’s been around since “Hot Stuff”, a far better song than this snorer, which I’ve been playing once in awhile waiting this thing out.
Let’s hope the other stuff they’re working on isn’t as derivative, or if it is derivative, make it in the way they copped from Chuck Berry with “It’s Only Rock & Roll” and stuff like that!
Nirvana possessed the greatest Rockstar since John Lennon but unlike Lennon, for me, Cobain’s music died along with him.
I haven’t played an album or watched a video by them since then. It’s just too painful.
Then, when I want a complicated history lesson/diva narrative drafted across the pond, I go with The Clash's "(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais." Those petulant Brits, being all punk and criticizing right and left (not necessarily politically).
My comments are a mixed bag. But my likes are all fairly unimpeachable! I am kidding, of course. Impeach as you will and should.
The Stones? Kidney or rolling? I already made my case about the latter in another post. Luckily, I have no issues with the former (knock on Ronnie Wood).
1. I've never liked Puddle Of Mudd, I've always found them boring, generic, and uninteresting. I don't know if the lead singer was trying to be funny, somehow trying to emulate Kurt (horribly), or if he is genuinely that bad... for the lack of a better term. I couldn't make it all the way through.
2. I'm not a Post Malone fan although I respect him as an artist and understand why he's huge. Just not my style of music and I cannot stand the production. The work he did with Ozzy did not sell me, but nonetheless it is still pretty cool that collaboration happened. The videos I saw of the Nirvana tribute he did was pretty damn cool, I loved it. Hes got a raw unique voice when it isnt produced to death and I honestly would love to hear him do more material with his natural voice. One of the very few Nirvana tributes that has been done well.
