The Stadium Tour - Postponed
Monday, June 1, 2020 at 10:36AM
As expected, The Stadium Tour - featuring Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - is officially postponed until 2021. New dates are being worked out and refunds will apparently be available soon.
We all expected this weeks ago now. Still not sure what took so long considering there is no announcement of rescheduled dates.

Hit the refund button, stop them from playing with your $$ for promises that may or may not be honored.
Which brings me back to an original ask that I had, these bands must have received some upfront signing bonus money to not just hit the refund button.
AND ... both she and Lep are in the R&RHoF while Crüe and Poison are NOT!
Still, I would like to see a reunited Cinderella and RATT join this tour and REALLY blow it out! (Get it? “Blow it out!”, as in what they used to do with all that big hair back in the day!
In terms of overall stamina and staying power, Lep lap the other bands over and over and over again (regardless of what you and I think about their recent tours and albums). They, at least, never claimed to be 'going out on top' (wink, wink) and never claimed they were done (wink, wink). Poison was gonna be a rare treat for their fans because, obviously, seeing the original guys together beats seeing Horse Hair trying to give you something to believe in with his band at the chili cook-off. And Jett, say what you want, has been doing solid business as a third- or fourth-tier act for many years and has always sounded great.
So, what's not to love? This: "refund policy will be made available shortly." But that is a small gripe, given that they will refund you (at some point). My point in all this has been, as Allyson suggests, that they could have said something earlier (hell, Jett did).
And I do hope, seriously, for all those who wanted to go, that this happens in 2021. We shall see. But predicting this message was easy back in April, a sure thing in May, and now it is just news in June.
Silver lining? Perhaps more Methods of Mayhem. I kid. I really, really do.
I'm glad to see you all are still here after many years of being away from the site and Ally...glad to see you've kept it going. I went back the past weeks and read all the posts I've missed and still loving what I read. God bless you all and stay healthy and POSITIVE! Much love to you all!
Sweet Lou.
Just curious: have you heard Russell's GW's latest acoustic album? I picked it up (autographed) because I was curious and wanted to support bands/artists that I love(d) during these times. Have to say, it is really good considering all that guy has gone through.
She’s the only one other than Def Leppard on the bill in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, though I do believe Crüe is deserving, as well ...
Poison’s a heavier lift but almost as deserving, though I don’t think Wenner and the judges can get past all the missteps after the first album, especially Brett Michaels’ lame solo output.
I still contend she’s a good fit as she is clearly a big influence on all these bands and I bet they’d be the first to tell you (even the hair and attitude) ...
Hey, Lou ... Speaking of ... You seem like someone in the know with an inside track ... How come The Runaways aren’t in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? ...
I heard it was Kenny Laguna (Jett’s producer and Colonel Parker) ... I wonder if he would allow them to perform together even if they were inducted ...
And agree to disagree with you on RATT and Cinderella, man ... Both would be great additions to an already stellar line-up ...
