Get Fit With Phil Collen

This looks fun! Phil Collen of Def Leppard says he got a little "piggy" during quarantine and he has to get some weight off. He wants to drop about 15 pounds or so and he will doing fitness and nutrition videos daily. Phil is asking for fans to follow along and participate. I think it looks pretty fun. Phil is already a vegan so I'm not sure how much he can improve his diet. I'm a vegetarian and I eat too much ice cream so maybe Phil eats too many soy-based treats?

On another note, in another life I was supposed to be seeing Def Leppard and Motley Crue in Cincinnati tonight. I was going to go with a group of friends, have people stay at my place, go out for dinner and drinks... and yet, here I am: stuck inside, watching cable. Sigh.

I thought I read once where a true vegan had to eat like like twice their calorie intake to gain weight and keep it on. But not a practicing vegan at all, so I wouldn't know.

Phil's got a "look" to keep up with, so it makes sense. Why does the best tasting stuff have to be the worst for you ?!?

Personally, I think he should put his shirt back on. The oil slick shtick is a bit gross. I get it. You are a well-toned 60-something year old. Perhaps wear a Union Jack half-shirt so the bottom of your six-pack just peeks out from the bottom. You know? Let all your fans dream a bit about what lies beneath. Ugh.

As for Vegans, cool on them and any other person doing any other sort of diet or food path or gastronomical philosophy. Everyone should follow their path. Me? I help Vegans by eating the things that eat their food. Do I expect a thank you? Nah. Just being a good person.
