Farewell Larry King - A Look At Some Musician Interviews

Legendary broadcaster Larry King died this morning at the age of 87. He had been hospitalized recently due to complications from COVID-19. King is best known for his CNN interview show Larry King Live, which ran for 25 years. Over the years, Larry interviewed all sorts of folks - including a lot of musicians. A few gems below:

RIP, you odd old duck you! I found him fascinating. He should have played softball with the way he treated guests and questions thereof on his show. Then again, that is why he was able to attract a lot of guests in his heyday. And I loved the fact that he enjoyed Norm MacDonald's parodies of him on SNL. Sorta' sad that he slid into a twilight career of infomercials. Then again, he fit the demographic which watches infomercials.

I once ran into the man in on the corner of K Street and Washington Circle (now under lockdown because of the brainwashed idiots who desecrated The Capitol) where I asked him for the time, not realizing who he was until we locked eyeballs when he told me gleefully with the biggest smile on his face ...
