New Crazy Lixx Video 'Rise Above'

My beloved Crazy Lixx just released a new video! They made a clip for the song "Rise Above." The song is from the upcoming album Street Lethal. This is one of the albums I am most excited about - but everyone knows I love my Swedish Glam bands. The guitars in "Rise Above" are freaking amazing. I want to see Crazy Lixx in concert!

That was really good. Wow. It’s a Rocky XIV theme song on steroids. Wonder how they’d pull it off live. Singer not good. But the song kicked ass with cheese. A unique vocalist is needed. Sorry if he’s a reader of BBG (your still good). Lol Crüe, Ratt, Dokken. All the big boys had such unique vocals…

You about nailed it, Kixchix. It has all the cheese you need (by the way, I am going to borrow your "kicked ass with cheese" line).

The singer? He's doing what he needs to do, and looks like Klaus Meine's less successful cousin, Carl. The video? Bra-less women? Sure. Butt shots? Sure. Guys playing things with strings while striking somewhat Zakk Wylde poses? Sure.

I see this as a spirited tribute to the 80s. As such, I can enjoy it for its merits. Would I buy it? Not likely. Would I see them if they came to a club near me (not likely). You bet I would!

And I end by saying this: they make aerobics look naughty!

Lovin’ this band and have been since 2007 when their first album came out!

Got all their stuff, and man, they’ve really outdone themselves (and their competition, i.e. Crash Dïet, Hardcore Superstar, Reckless Love, etc.) with this one …

Boys! I get what you’re saying about the singer but if I’m not mistaken, isn’t he the genius behind all this? … Regardless, all you have to do is listen to those notes he hits at the end of the song to realize why he’s the singer and we’re not …

And how about those killer neon sunglasses?! … Talk about an 80’s devotee completely over the top! … And the quasi-mullet! … Or is that a full-on legit mullet …

Another thing I’m reminded of watching this is to book my one-way ticket to Sweden and it ain’t just about all the great bands over there suffering from a Hair Metal fixation, that’s for d*mn sure!
