Bonnaroo Requires Covid Vaccine Or Negative Test To Attend

Bonnaroo is one of the largest music festivals in North America. It happens each summer in Tennessee. This year, proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test will be required for entry. More and more shows will start to require this as a stipulation of entry, especially as the Delta variant continues to cause case spikes. I wish the federal government would just develop a barcode app for smartphones that concert and sports venues and airports could easily access to get people through gates quickly.
Unvaccinated Bonnaroo attendees presenting a negative test will have to wear a mask the entire event. That's brutal in the southern heat.

Update - more fests are requiring vaccines to attend as well, including Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, Aftershock and probably everything under the Danny Wimmer Presents banner.

But, if the delta variant can be spread just as easily by vaccinated people as unvaccinated, what is the point? And COVID tests are point in time, who knows what's happened to that person who tested negative after that lab test was conducted. That negative test won't mean much after the test was processed. They could be raging with COVID right afterwards.
If people want to be unvaccinated and face a higher chance of ending up on a ventilator, or dead, that's on them. That's their issue. Not mine. I am happy my chances are very good that I probably won't end up dead. Much higher than before I took my shot.
And as long as the hospitals have enough room for those people when they get ill, they won't have to enact another lockdown that will kill everyone slowly.
So, either way, I am ready to live again. And if people don't want to be vaccinated, then let them. They will have to deal with the consequences.
There have been 619 thousand deaths from COVID 19.
Yet there are only 0.2% deaths of people who have been vaccinated, most of which are not necessarily attributed to the vaccine itself.

And, now DeSantis is contributing to those numbers everyday by not telling people to get vaccinated and requiring masks. The idiotic part, as I mentioned, is he’s either killing his voters or turning many off by not supporting lifesaving protocols. Just look at his polls.
