Valentine's Day is Monday... and on Monday, we'll talk love and power ballads. But today, here's a list of anti-love songs. Bon Jovi is on the list. So is Def Leppard and Nazareth and Judy Garland. Yes, it's a diverse group. The song choices are all pretty great. Do you have a favorite anti-love song?

"Get the **** Out" by Skid Row
And I think some of their interpretations rely a bit too heavily on the song titles, while still holding to the overall theme. Case in point? "This is Not a Love Song" by PIL?!?! Well, sure. But "The Flowers of Romance" hits a lot harder: "I'll take the furniture, start all over again."
Or how about GnR's "You Could Be Mine" and/or "14 Years"? I know, I know. The latter song is likely more about Izzy and Rose. But, still, on the surface? Pretty darn anti-love.
To all the lovers out there, I hope your Valentine's Day is a groovy love-fest of smooches and tickles. To everyone else, enjoy the peace and quiet. I kid. I kid.
Instead, I'll go with this:
"I don't believe in love ... it's never worth the pain that you feel."
Gogmagog, nice deep dive on a good song on an underrated album. I still love LifS! And "Hot Love" is a nice counterpoint. Pity that it was so poorly received. Then again, that album was released at a time when metal, and TS, were not doing too well (solo Dee, back then, still had some bite, even if it was repackaged as TS). I also think that COaP deserved a better hearing. But that's me.
Nice nod to Ryche, too! Now the band and Geoff are just doing the best they can. Which, depending on how you view it, is okay.
