The Bulletboys Announce Summer Tour Dates

The Bulletboys are about to head out on the road again. The band announced new tour dates yesterday. Looks like the shows are mostly on Friday or Saturday night. No shows close to me on this tranche of dates, but more shows are apparently coming. Seems like summer fun to me!

Sad that it is again Marq Torien's Bulletboys. Then again, no one expected the reunion to last, did they? And, to be fair, that reunion wasn't going to ignite a firestorm of support for the band, with or without a new release.

Thing is, I have seen other iterations of MTB. They are fine for a night out, on a bill with other down-tier or down-on-their-luck bands. I suspect at least 50% of the audience don't know or don't care either. I never heard a person drop their drink and go: "Wait? WHAT?!?!? D'Anda isn't manning the kit?!?!?" I did, however, see Vencent walk past that person, pick up their spilled ice cubes (didn't I just say that I never saw this happen?), and start juggling them as he yelled "SWEDA" at the top of his lungs. But that is another story.

Torien and the boys had a chance to really make a dent. They made a ding. It is easily covered up with a Popsicle stick and a dab of Bondo. Shame that Marq seems to be the one who can't handle being who he is, where he is, when it matters (then or now).

They had some great songs. They had potential. Now we have MTB. So I hope that he can now support his lavish(?) lifestyle now that he isn't dodging child support payments.
