'Christmas Isn't Christmas' -- Bon Jovi

At any rate, maybe this will get some radio play to combat the endless Mariah Carey hysteria over the next six weeks.

Sambora made the comment during a recentPeople magazine interview. Of course, Sambora left the band a decade ago and has continually said he didn't want to rejoin. Now, all that has changed and you have to believe there have been lots of behind-the-scenes conversations with the rest of Jovi on this front. So - do Jon and Richie get together for a "public" meeting at a coffee house or something? Will there be a press conference or just a website countdown with the eventual tour announcement? Watch this space.
It is Patriot Day in America. The day is an observance of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Twenty-two years on and the folks who lived through that day can remember it just like yesterday. We all remember where we were - what we were doing - who we were with.
Flags will be at half-staff for the remembrance, per the official Presidential Proclamation.
After the tragedy, there was a feeling of wanting to do... something to help. So Hollywood got together and performed for first responders and raised money for them and their family members. One of the best performances from The Concert For New York City was from Bon Jovi. The October 2001 event was held at Madison Square Garden. The music in the clip below starts around 12:50 - and yes, this was back when Richie Sambora was still in the band, too (he had another decade with them after this). This includes a really incredible performance of "Wanted Dead or Alive" too.
This man in a park in London, England started singing ”Livin' on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi and the whole park joined in.

Too bad Bon Jovi wants to disavow their rock roots these days in favor of country music. Or maybe it's just what Jon Bon Jovi likes. Regardless, I'll always be thankful for Slippery When Wet and all the memories.
36 years ago today we released Slippery When Wet, a life-changing album for the band. In celebration, we are offering 36% off of our Slippery When Wet merch, only for 36 hours (or while supplies last) at https://t.co/ofJWcYQJ1W pic.twitter.com/fRZqwkKPNQ

Last night, Eric and I went to Paul Brown Stadium, er, Paycor Stadium, to see the Bengals in preseason. We have season tickets now so we were also checking out all the folks around us who we'll be spending the season with and everyone seems great.
There is a family with many children seated one row behind us. The kids are probably in the 8 - 10ish age range. When Bon Jovi came on the stadium loudspeaker, they had no problem loudly singing all the words to "Livin' On A Prayer." (I sang too!) This comforted me. Their parents are teaching them right! Also, thank goodness the pre-season is worthless in the overall NFL standings. #GameWasUgly #NotManyStarters
