I missed this announcement on Friday: Bon Jovi will hit the road again this April! The run is short, but there are a lot of midwestern and southern dates. I am interested in the Nashville date - but who knows how much the tickets will cost. I expect them to be sky high and I am over paying multiple hundreds in advance for shows. Pre-sale starts tomorrow and general on-sale for many dates is Friday.
It’s official! We’ll be headed back out on this road this April for the #BonJovi2022Tour. Pre-sales begin January 11th and tickets will be available to the public beginning January 14th. It seems like everyone has covered Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back In Town" but I have to admit, I didn't realize Bon Jovi did a cover of the tune until I heard it on Hair Nation the other day. First off, it's shocking when Hair Nation actually puts a different track in rotation. Then I had to do a double-take when the song came on. I looked it up and sure enough, the cover is on the 2014 deluxe version of New Jersey, which I don't own. It's also on a Phil Lynott tribute album that I also don't own.
The Bon Jovi cover seemed to go by quicker than the original, but the arrangement doesn't seem any different. Maybe that was my perception because I was driving and therefore busy. Whatever the case, this was a nice little surprise for me! Do you like the Bon Jovi version?
There's nothing quite like a road song. I had MTV Classic on in the background while working yesterday and Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive" came on. Of course, the song is one of the best about being a rock band on the road. I decided to make a list of my favorite road songs. Let me know what you think!
I heard the ad for this new SiriusXM channel yesterday while driving to get a coffee. The Bon Jovi channel will celebrate the 35th anniversary of Slippery When Wet. I am excited for this special channel and to hear some rare Jovi content and interviews.
Also, there may be an issue with comments again. I have no idea why, considering my host made a structural fix to the problem before. I will investigate.
Excited to announce the launch of Bon Jovi Radio on @SIRIUSXM! Starting today, you’ll find concert specials, along with interviews and commentary from me, @BonJovi and crew. Listen now for all your favorite tracks, special guest DJs & more. https://t.co/viSvCW3czRpic.twitter.com/yVpWbef7YE
