Record Store Day 2025 List Is Out!

In the chaos that was last week, I missed the announcement of the 2025 Record Store Day list! There's some fun things on the list, including special singles and picture discs from Motley Crue, David Gilmour and Beck. Not to mention special releases from Tesla and The Doors. 2023 Record Store Day 'Black Friday' Releases Announced

Record Store Day happens in April and also "Black Friday" in America. That's the day after Thanksgiving and the traditional start to the holiday shopping season.

There's some good stuff on the list this year including KIX, L.A. Guns and Skid Row. I am going for the special re-release of Kix Cool Kids. The Skid Row is a pressing of the cover album B-Side Ourselves originally released in 1992.

The L.A. Guns release is Live in Boston 1989. This previously unreleased live album features the band's classic lineup as well as track like "One More Reason," "Rip And Tear" and "Electric Gypsy."

Record Store Day 2023 Haul

For my Record Store Day celebration, I went to Catacomb Records, near Dayton, Ohio. It's a store that is all Metal, all the time. Yep.

I picked up that Van Halen Live Right Here, Right Now 30th anniversary I wanted... plus two rare Cinderella discs. They are OG year pressings and one is a Japanese press! Photos below and reviews coming soon!

Some Record Store Day Releases - Tomorrow!

Just a reminder of some of the special Record Store Day releases coming out tomorrow!

Motley Crue, Tori Amos and The Cure - just some of the many special releases available tomorrow that I have my eye on. Of course, my number 1 priority is still Van Halen's LIVE Right Here, Right Now. We'll see if I can score a copy.

Aerosmith Announce 'Record Store Day' Release

My beloved Aerosmith will release The Road Starts Hear, a rare early recording from 1971. The release will be available on vinyl and cassette: throwback! The release features tracks that eventually landed on the band's self-titled debut including "Dream On." The quality might be hit or miss - it's from Joe Perry's tape recorder!

Record Store Day is also "Black Friday" in America, the big shopping bonanza the day after Thanksgiving. I believe Record Store Day releases are extremely limited, so this will be a great collector's piece.
