More Bands Added To Download Festival

Take a moment and share a positive thought for Ukraine today. What is happening there is just appalling - Vladimir Putin has no shame, but regular old Russians are going to be punished right along with him for his military actions. It's all such a shame.

Meanwhile, in the glam world, it seems like every day we get a new festival announcement or lineup update. Today, news that Download has added 14 more bands, including Steel Panther headlining the second stage. Download is set for June 10-12 at Donnington Park in the UK. That's just 105 days from now if you are counting down and yes, tickets are still available.

Steel Panther Announce 2022 Tour

Steel Panther has announced the Res-Erections tour. The run goes through March and that makes sense why the poster is all green. Any Given Sin will provide support. Their video for "The Way I Say Goodbye." I like the band, but folks must realize they don't sound like Steel Panther. Together, I think this makes a nice rock package.

Steel Panther Release New Song

The new Steel Panther song "Unplug Yourself" is available now via the game Unplugged VR. I'm old, so I don't know much about virtual reality games but this seems like a great way for Steel Panther to extend their fanbase. I'm sure the target audience for this music-based game is younger than traditional Panther fans.

Steel Panther and Travis Tritt Rock Out

I'm no country fan, but Travis Tritt has been around forever so I'm familiar with some of his songs. I also think I ate at one of his restaurants once. Steel Panther love to have celebs join them on stage during shows, and Travis Tritt is the most recent on-stage guest. The crowd seems to enjoy it, even if it wasn't a traditional country-loving bunch. All in good fun and rock and roll, right?

No New Steel Panther Bassist (Yet)

Rumors are swirling that Steel Panther has a new bass player. Lexxi Foxx left the band several weeks ago and the remaining members of Steel Panther have been conducting online auditions. Apparently, bass player Phil Buckman posted a photo of himself online playing with the Panther and folks assumed he had the job locked up. Apparently no decision has yet been made.
