'Rock and Roll Party Cowboy' - The Darkness

I'm a big fan of The Darkness. They've got a new visualizer for their song "Rock and Roll Party Cowboy."

You just have to laugh at this track: it's just a litany of every rock cliche. I especially enjoy the callouts for Jack Daniels and "bandana" - which I will assume is a nod toward Bret Michaels.

I think the intro is a little too long, but I like the guitar work and of course the song is fun and that is the point!

Really Great Pro-Shot Performance From The Darkness

Wacken Open Air releases pro-shot footage of their acts each year. A few days ago, the German festival dropped this great footage from The Darkness. The band played the fest over the summer and it looked hot as hell that day.

The 2025 edition of Wacken Open Air is already sold out. Guns n' Roses and Gojira are just some of the headliners.

The Darkness, 'I Hate Myself' - New Track

The Darkness are back with new music! "I Hate Myself" is a song from their upcoming album Dreams on Toast, due March 28th. This is a fun song and catchy as hell. I dig it.

Monsters Of Rock Cruise 2024 Lineup

The 2023 edition of the Monsters of Rock Cruise just wrapped. The next one will happen March 2 - 7, 2024 with stops in Jamaica and the Bahamas with Miami, Florida as homeport. The event's Facebook page added a graphic of artists for the next cruise and it includes The Darkness and Crazy Lixx!

Cabins go on sale soon - I would expect the event to sell out quickly, as per usual.

The Darkness 'The Power and the Glory of Love'

The Darkness just released a new album called Motorheart. One of the singles is "The Power and the Glory of Love." The intro is very old-school rock. The Darkness always sounded 70s, but this new track sounds like it belongs to the bell-bottom era. I haven't had time to listen to the whole new album yet, but I suspect it is awesome in that hilarious-Darkness-type way.
