Another month is in the books and now it is April. So Happy April's Fools Day, everyone - just remember to not be a jerk to folks if you play pranks. I woke up to snow this morning and that's no joke. Disgusting! At least it is Friday.
This month, the playlist features new tracks from Reckless Love, Hardcore Superstar, Bad Wolves, Shaman's Harvest... and KISS. I forgot that KISS were releasing a new live album. It's called KISS Off The Soundboard: Live in Virginia Beach. The tracks were recorded in 2004 and I chose "Tears Are Falling" for the playlist. Enjoy!
It was a long week, wasn't it? The weather was crappy again by me. I woke up to snow both yesterday and today and so much cold! The news is depressing... and work is work. Looking for something to cheer me up, I thought about the best Swedish rock bands. That's our Sunday's Best for this week.
Obviously, Europe is on the list. I mean, is there a better rock band from Sweden? Creating stadium anthems since before the 1980s, Joey Tempest has one of the greatest voices in Glam. My favorite Europe track is easily "Superstitious."
Hardcore Superstar just released their new album Abrakadabra and also dropped their video for the title track. HS is a great band and definitely one of my favorites.
Of course, no list of my favorite Swedish rock bands is complete without Crashdiet. So many different singers, but each one brings a new flavor to the group. Here's "Rust."
Crazy Lixx is also always on my favorites of Sweden list. I was in love with this band the first time I heard them. They've been around since 2002 and Loud Minority is a great debut. That was back when one of the founders, Vic Zino, was still in the band. Zino is with Hardcore Superstar now and has been since 2009.
The clip is for the track "Weep When You Die" and is from the upcoming release Abrakadabra. That album is due in March. It will be a must-buy for any Glam fan!
Hardcore Superstar is back to let you know that Sweden rocks, really hard. The band released the new track "Catch Me If You Can" a few days ago. The song is on the band's upcoming album Abrakadabra. Just check out the guitar solo on this one - not a lot of American bands making music like this these days!
